Best Tablet Under $100 - NeuTab N10+

NeuTab N10+ OctaCore Tablet

This is NeuTabs latest 10″ tablet and I have to say it is a HUGE improvement from their older ones. They have come a long way from their older budget devices. So is the NeuTab N10+ worth your money? We certainly think so. For less than $100 you get a brilliant and large device that will surprise you.

The design of the tablet is “average” at best. It cuts costs by using a plastic back instead of the matte finish that we see on their other more expensive devices. The glossy fingerprint grabbing finish on this tablet makes me wish that they used matte black instead. However, when the back is clean and fingerprint free it looks pretty nice.

The rest of the design, the shape and buttons, screams “standard android tablet” and doesn’t impress. You don’t buy this tablet for the appearance you buy it for the internal specs and the screen size.

You get a really big 10.1″ screen which is beautiful. In fact, it’s the first tablet we’ve review with more than 7″ due to no other tablet nailing that size while being lower than $100 to buy. The screen resolution is 1024×600 which is also, “average”. You’ll have to spend a lot more to get 1080p or 4k.

The weight of the device is reasonably heavy, enough to add some value to the device. Personally I’ve never been one to enjoy the almost non-existent feel of an iPad Air for example. This device is still very comfortable to hold.

For the ports you get the standard 3.5mm headphone jack, a surprising 2 USB ports, a SD card expansions lot which is very nice to have, a 5v DC charging port, and a mini HDMI port which is another surprise. It should be mentioned that you cannot charge this tablet with USB, which is a bummer to many. However you should know that the charging port is more durable and faster charging than USB is. Pick up some extra charging cables and you should be fine.

Let’s talk a bit about the camera. I was expecting the camera to be absolute crap, but I ended up being surprised. Many tablets simply leave it out or include something very basic, while this one is actually quite usable. Although I am not sure who is going to use a 10″ device to take photo’s.

Now, where the tablet REALLY shines. The performance is something special. With a Octa Core Processor (8 cores!) and 1GB of ram this is a great media device. I highly recommend it for gaming or high-demand apps. With a screen this large games are seen in a new light and are much more enjoyable. I found myself playing older games that I thought I was done with just because I had to experience them on such a large screen.

The animations are smooth, the loading is fast, and touch sensitivity is perfect. I am very impressed by the budgeting on this device to bring out so much power. I easily forgive the poor case design.
